Some things I didn’t want to forget

So much has been going on over here! Good things, but busy things. And our internet was out after about a week of confusion with our new residence. Anyway, now that winter is finally OVER, I thought I’d wrap up the season and catch up on the little happenings from the last few months before we moved.

We had a lot of snow. It’s just kept coming. The only good news about that was that the kids built there first snowman. 176177182Of course they expected him to come alive when we put a hat on him.196Pretending to have dinner.211186192

Even if it was annoying, it was a lovely view out our back door. 004

One especially snowy night we were making a late ice cream run, and someone accidentally bumped the sunroof button and this happened. Fun.179

Hanging at the complex.146147

Too hungry to pull up the pants before eating.234

They knocked at my bedroom door one day and I found this. They were playing trick-or-treat.236

Ruby was the only crib escape artist. I only found her like this once. Cute. 238

Post-nap snuggling. The best when they wake up a few minutes apart, like on this day.

Porch picnic.403

It’s always fun seeing them all in a row looking triplety.

Was feeling generous with my patience and made some cereal treats with them. They did great, until they decided my size of cookies wouldn’t suffice and made them much larger.020025032042061

It’s not ideal to train for a big race in the middle of the winter, but I made it work.075

It would snow, get warm, snow, get warm, etc.                        111014021027029

They did look adorable in they snow pants.075

I love that they can dress themselves now, even if they occasionally put things on backwards.015

My girl is constantly begging to help in the kitchen. I love putting her to work!064

A little mommy to her toys.462

Found a pb lover.468

Took them to the doctor in preparation for preschool (!), and I realized it was my first time taking them alone! I think they were ready, cause as I was checking in, I turned around and found this. Sometimes I see a light at the end of the tunnel.476

And they were model patients. 479484485486

Sometimes (most times) things don’t go so smoothly, and we end up in the park bathroom for a time-out. 529

Blueberry dumplings, such a great winter dessert.544550

IKEA with cute friends, as usual.591

In between snow storms we had some gorgeous weather. We always made the most of those days.609635647652

Ruby is always making new friends.662This girl waved to us out her window until she was out of sight. I wonder if we’ll ever see little Ava again?666

We spent some time at the mall on Ben and Jerry’s free cone day. We could’ve stayed at the Disney Store for hours!007022024028088035

Ruby insisted she wanted “pink” ice cream for her free cone, until she saw that the boys had mint chocolate chip. She started to pout, and I was trying to explain that that was her choice, yadda yadda yadda, when Alex chimed in and said he would trade! Crisis was over in an instant. Love that moment.092 069075077091

Since IKEA was practically empty one day, I let them push their own food carts. I knew what I was getting myself into, but it wasn’t so bad. Only problem is they think they can do it every time.054

They made their own little lounge spots.145

We were headed out to sonic, so I told everyone to get ready…187

I guess the warm bath water was too relaxing for Bennett.196

I like that view. 244

Still doubling up, and loving it.267271273

The car was empty so I took  them for a spin around the parking lot. Cute little puppies.345348

Nana and Papa came to help out during the moving process. So lovely having others around to keep the kids entertained!377384394396The kids became quite attached to their bike helmets.439456459464496514

With babysitters in town, KC and I were able to go out a couple time for house stuff. And I finally got to meet Baby Piper! We love our darling little cousin. Can’t wait to play again! 431480

Sometimes I do crazy things, like pack way too much furniture in the car with the kids. When I see it on sale, and it’s just what I’ve been looking for, what else can I do?527530

MORE snow. 013029036

First bath in the big tub. We’ve needed one of these for so long.055

We liked having an empty place to play. I guess living here with furniture is nice too. 178

Bennett buddy.202

Kiki and Moki were some good friends at the apartment. They were teaching the kids how to make paper airplanes.224

We couldn’t WAIT to get out those cribs. 245

Library story time is great, but they always get distracted by the train table.277

And the crafts.281271

We’re constantly amazed at the gorgeous parks we keep finding. Too bad we found this one a couple minutes from the apartment a few days before we moved.

My nephew Jordan is going on a mission! Crazy! I was glad to be part of the opening of his letter via Facetime. 295

Remember when I said I sometimes do crazy things…?304

Love moments like this. 309

It wasn’t long after we moved in that the tricycles were no longer aloud inside. It was fun while it lasted.319

Café Rio! The kids were crazy, but the food was wonderful. And free quesadillas for kids. Nice.327

Every night for the last few months has been packed with todos. This night was me alone at the house painting the kids’ rooms. Emma on my ipod, and my drink made for a fun night to myself.

333

We sporadically unpacked things before we moved in. This kept them happy for a while. 335

Again, such a helper. 340343

Anytime I sit down, I can count on Bennett to climb on my back. Sweetheart.434

The last few weeks in the apartment were tricky. We did our best to keep from going crazy.020023027036

The many outfits of Alex.062063

On Mothers Day I actually curled Ruby’s hair for the first time. She loves being pampered.064068

We totally missed out on Easter pictures, so we attempted one on Mothers Day. Easier said than done (bribery was involved).072073076077

So , that was a random mix. I really just wanted to close that chapter so I can start on the next one! I hope to get a little home tour up soon!
