Halloween Loose Ends

Just wanted to wrap up the Halloween festivities before Thanksgiving comes and goes. I’m trying my hardest not to go full steam into Christmas yet! So here are a few things I want to remember.

  • Their excitement when I first showed them their costumes.

  • Our dorky attempt at a family costume (skeletons in a Closet).

  • Watching the kids play along so well with other kids at a fun costume party.

  • Pumpkin carving. I wondered if this was the right age to start this activity, but gave in one day while in a festive mood. It was a good time, and not as messy or dangerous as I has anticipated. The kids were so proud of their pumpkins (I let them tell me what shapes to cut as I was carving.) And no, we didn’t undress them for this. They were like that before we started.

Kind of glad all of that is over with (although we still have way too much candy left). My Thanksgiving and Christmas calendars are filling up rapidly. Can’t wait to spend this holiday season with my enthusiastic kiddies. It’s going to be fun, I can tell.
