This age is so great for so many reasons. One in particular, is that they are really starting to interact with each other. Like singing songs together, occasionally sharing toys, playing Ring Around the Rosie or London Bridge, feeding each other, and other things like that. They are also a very affectionate bunch and will almost always gladly give or accept hugs and kisses. Here they are in the tub. Their slippery bodies didn’t keep them from holding each other tight.
And here they are after dinner. When Alex wants a kiss, he gets a kiss.
Ruby was so upset when Bennett had had enough hugging, she threw a fit. But she cheered right up when he came back for more.
And of course Alex needed some lovin’ as well.
I don’t know what could warm a mother’s heart more than seeing her babies embrace so tight with such huge smiles on their faces. Well, I suppose if she were the recipient of the affection, that might take the cake. And fortunately for me, I do get to be included in this game now and then.
