A lot of this seems like it happened forever ago, but I do want to get some pictures on here to remember this busy summer.
During the big power outage, Grandma and her new Husband Van came to see. It was so nice of them to take time out of their busy traveling schedule to stop by. Their hotel was also out of power, so we were all relieved when things were up and running again.
One of our friends is a fan of Chuck E. Cheeses, so we joined them one day. we pretty much had it to ourselves. Alex, my easily overstimulated boy, was content to sit at the table almost the entire time. Fun, but I think we’re Chuck E. Cheesed out for the next few years (or more).
We took the kids to the nearby little beach again. I brought a baby sitter with me, and it was still a little crazy. I even had to use the phrase, “Have you seen a little boy in a white tank top?!” Not something a mom wants to have come out of her mouth while around open water. Scariest 30 seconds of my life. But we made it. Next summer will be a different story.
Nachos and girlfriends, a great combo.
Elise and Penny came with Alex and me on another Six Flags date. I think he liked having a friend along.
There are few things my kids love more than painting.
It took him a minutes to realize this paint wasn’t edible.
Peach pie. I miss peach season like crazy. I wish I could make this again right now.
Bubble wrap. Is it any surprise that this was a favorite toy for a day?
Proof that they do love each other.
My second Six Flags date with B. Love this precious boy. (Ruby’s second date was in Williamsburg, already posted.)
The kids are constantly asking me if they can see friends.
Nacho pizza, two of my favorites combined. Cornmeal crust, homemade nacho cheese sauce, beans, corn, peppers and shredded chicken. Topped with cilantro, guac, and sour cream, it’s pretty perfect.
Quick, take a picture before she ruins it in 2 minutes!
Snickers cake for Jeff’s b-day. I may have added a couple brownie layers in there.
Proof that these two get a long on occasion.
You know he’s up to something when he looks are you like that.
We have a lot of opportunities to teach them about cleaning up.
Mediterranean dip and Braided Cinnamon wreath (I also made one with nutella) for book group. Both winners.
She let mw blow dry her hair for church. Love her long, golden locks.
These finger lights from Grandma were a huge hit.
It’s just impossible not to take a picture when they are all lined up.
I think that was a good summary of how we finished out the crazy summer of three two-year-olds. Already loving everything about the fall.
